Eric Miranda is our newest DevOps Engineer. He was working in the sysadmin/backend IT infrastructure field as a Tier 3 Hardware and Network Engineer and an IT Infrastructure Specialist prior to that.
Eric was born and raised in Toronto but lived most of his life in the boring suburbs of Mississauga.
We asked him some important questions…
What is your favourite food?
I’m very much a foodie so this question can be a slippery slope for me. I have a love for a good burger, which I’m sure many of you will realize once you see me in person. If you were to see me in a restaurant, you can guarantee I’ll be trying out their burger.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like to game when I have my slow days. I used to be a big PC gamer but don’t have to space for my rig anymore in my new home so I’ve “downgraded” to a PS4. When I actually get outside to see some sunlight, I enjoy exploring the city for new, small time restaurants to try. I also like to try to travel outside of the country once or twice a year.
If you could instantly pick up a superhero power, what would it be?
This is easy. Flying without a doubt. Although I likely would not be nearly as graceful about it as I’m imagining in my head.
What’s an interesting fact about you that people wouldn’t guess?
Despite the beard, I’m not a hipster. I don’t like turtlenecks or latte’s despite the MacBook I’m carrying around now.
